Tintype Photograph Outdoors Five Smiling Women

Antique tintype photograph features five women in an informal pose.  Photo was taken outdoors next to a building constructed of large rectangular stone, most likely a church.  Four of the women are seated with another woman standing behind them.  All are wearing long dresses, some with large collars and brooches.  Hairstyles are all similar with hair parted and pulled back and up.  These women all look very happy with big smiles on their faces looking straight into the camera.  Photo is mounted in a black embossed card stock type frame.  Tintype with card frame measures 2 3/4″ X 3 5/8″.

Photo is of unknown origin and is in good condition considering age.  A great look back at period dress and photography of women during this era.  Showing just a few bubbles and some minor darkening, this would make a great addition to any collection.
