I am pleased to offer this Vintage September 1939 Etude Music Magazine Paper Journal by Theodore Presser Company. This is the September 1939 issue of The Etude Music Magazine. Includes 67 pages in this sequence: 553-620 with several articles, sheet music and advertisements from the time. Cover features a band of boy scouts playing instruments with theme Practical Crime Prevention-an Editorial, “Where there is music, there can’t be mischief.” Slight rip on bottom of front cover. Some dust/wear visible from age; pages show slight yellowish color. Excellent aged condition throughout!

THE ETUDE described itself as “A monthly journal for the musician, the music student, and all music lovers.” It was a magazine about music and musical performance along with singers and players and musicians; heavily oriented toward classical music, and the study of and instruction in performance and technique.

Measurements: approx. 13-1/4″ inches long x 10-1/2″ inches wide.
