I am pleased to offer a vintage pair of Scottish Terrier – Scottie Dog Bookends from NuArt Metal Creations dating to the 1930’s. This set is of metal cast with a dark ebony finish. Backs of both pieces show the round NuArt signature that reads “NuArt Creations, NYC, Made In USA”. Each bookend measures 4 1/2″ X 2 5/8″ X 5 1/4″. Bottoms feature green felt protectant pieces.
NuArt Metal Creations was active in New York in the 1920’s and 30’s. They began producing bookends during this time using permanent mold slush metal castings.

Both bookends are in great condition considering age. Shows no cracks to metal castings, but there is some green/patina that adds to the vintage look. There are some light chips to the finish as would be expected but both display very well and would be a wonderful addition to any collection.
