Atq 1892 Victorian Fancy Walking Cane British Sterling Hallmarked Handle 36″ L

I am pleased to offer this Antique c. 1892 Victorian Fancy Walking Stick/Cane! This wonderful walking stick has a Jet Black Glossy Stained Shaft that gently tapers downwards, and ends in a metal ferrule.  The handle is a lavishly decorated Victorian Vines Sterling Silver Knob, which has an engraved Monogram on the top of the intials BO.  The side of the knob has the 1892 London Sterling Silver Hallmarks, and the maker’s mark J-H (Likely Jonathan Howell, well known maker of sterling fitted canes).

This antique cane is in good condition for its age.  There is moderate scratching to the wood down the shaft, which becomes more heavy near the tip.  The handle shows some mild scratching and so dark toning in the crevices.

Measures approx. 36 ” L
