French Art Nouveau Solid Brass Wall Plaque Woman Face Architectural Salvage WWII
Beautiful Piece of French Art Nouveau Salvage
Acquired from the estate of a WWII Veteran who purportedly wrested the piece from a ruined building in France. He believed it was once a hotel, but wasn’t sure at that point (as it was just rubble). He brought it home as a piece of memorabilia from his service.
Intricate Woman’s face centered, seemingly peeking her face through a jungle of vines and leaves.
There are 6 mounting holes, 2 on the top corners and 4 mid-center on each side.
No signature or markings seen.
Measures approx. 6-13/16″ W x 9-1/8″ H x 1/2″ Deep
