Pewter Washington-Gates America’s First Medals w/Cases

I am pleased to offer these America’s First Medals #1 & 2 Washington and Gates Medals from the U.S. Mint.  Part of a ten medal pewter series, these are reproductions of actual medals awarded to key people in America’s History.  The George Washington Medal, #1 in the series, was rewarded to him for the liberation of Boston in 1776.  The General Horatio Gates Medal, #2 in the series, was Awarded to him for preventing the British from isolating New England by occupying the Hudson Valley.  Each medal comes in its original plastic folding case with a brief history booklet.

Both medals show some light wear overall from age and display.  Sold AS IS.
