Vintage 1975 J HENRY SMITH Equitable Life Insurance Society Bronze Medal MACO

I am pleased to offer this Vintage J. Henry Smith Chairman of the Board Commemorative Medal from The Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States.

Dated 1969-1975; features Mr. Smith’s image with motto “I believe in us.”

Marked by artist Abram Belskie Sc., Medallic Art Co., NY, Bronze. 

Note: Mr. Smith worked with Equitable for 33 years and was promoted to chairman and chief executive officer in 1973. He retired  later and was named by Mayor Abraham D. Beame to head the Human Resources Administration in 1976.
