Emergency Military Pass City Employee Brig Gen McQuigg
I am pleased to offer an early 1900’s paper card Military Pass marked “Military Pass, Emergency, City Employee, Pass at All Posts at All Hours, Brig. Gen. McQuigg”. Pass measures 3″ X 5″.
Brigadier General John R. McQuigg, native of Wayne County, Ohio, was national commander of the American Legion in 1925. By vocation McQuigg was a lawyer, by avocation he was a soldier. He was commander of the 112th Engineers 37th Division in France during WWI, was for three terms mayor of East Cleveland.
This pass shows some light wear due to age with a few creases and aging in color, but piece displays very well and would make a fine addition to any collection.
Please see pictures and email with any questions. International winners will be emailed with shipping costs.
