Notable:  The album is related to the Houston Family, particularly Joel W. Houston.   Historical records from that period show a Joel W. Houston was a farmer from the Nearby town of Florida, NY (just southeast of Middletown).  It would’ve been likely that his family would travel to/move to Middletown for supplies and a touch of civilization.  The back pages has the names and birth dates of a few Houston family members: Loretta Cunningham Houston-1879, Joel W. Houston-1879, Isabell Houston-1899, Joel Houston, Jr.-1902.  In addition, the back of the cut Bodie cabinet photo has the name Mrs. Joel W Houston, 18 Genung St, Middletown, NY. The photos are all unmarked except that one.
