Remove attached green pencil and cover opens to show original note pad still attached.

Paper on pad shows gold on edges.

Pencil is attached to book by the original string.

paper area measures 1-3/8″ x 1-1/2″

Henry Siegal Company was a very large chain of early 20th century department stores in cities that included Chicago, New York, and Boston.

Measures total 1-3/4″ x 2-1/4″

Very nice overall condition. Mild loss to the lustrous finish of the brass on both sides, accompanied by some light scratching. Hinges are intact and functional. Pencil is intact and remains attached via string. Most of the original note paper remains intact and blank, around 20 pages. Displays very well.
