Antique Post Civil War Maj. Theodore Winthrop Civilian Engraving Painted Frame

  • Very nice display piece for any Civil War collection
  • Post-War (1870s) engraving of Major Theodore Winthrop – one of the first Union Officer to be killed in the Civil War (Battle of Big Bethel 1861)
  • Held in a petite and painted wood frame with bubble glass
  • Frame measures approx 4-1/8″ x 5-1/4″ x 1/2″

Excellent overall condition. Engraving was well kept, appears to have some light foxing but without opening the frame it is hard to tell. Frame is sealed closed on the back. Front shows some light scratching to the black paint from age and display. Displays nicely.
