Antique 1/2 Plate Ambrotype Portrait Photograph Stately Man or Drunk Uncle?

• Great Large ambrotype Portrait
• A handsome older gentleman sits for an almost full portrait, arm rested on a slightly tinted table.
• My first impression was that he looked rather stately, however, after a minute or two of viewing I began to see more.  His expression, accentuated by the tinted cheeks, was remarkably uncanny to the expression my glazed over, boozed up uncle would make when he was in a slightly disgruntled, alcoholic haze.
• Ornate brass mat and preserver, cracked protective glass.
• 1/2 plate, 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
• Displays well!
