WWI Trench Art 3″ Diameter Floral Relief Shell Lamp 33″ Tall U.M.C. Co Military
I am pleased to offer this Antique WWI Trench Art Shell Lamp!
This lamp was made of a Large tank or AA shell, which measures approx. 3″ diameter on the base (75mm?). The base is marked “U.M.C. Co Bridgeport, Conneticut” and “11-98”.
The bottom half of the brass shell is engraved with a high relief floral pattern and a textured background.
The shell was hollowed out and has a rod running through that holds the electrical cord.
The top of the lamp has a Leviton fixture and a brass finial, but no shade.
The shell sits on a thick early bakelite/resin pedestal base. Each piece is separate, and not permanently fixed to each other (i.e. comes apart in 4 pieces)
The lamp was tested and is in working condition, and the power cord show very little wear from age.
Measures approx. 33″ Total Height with a 10″ Diameter base.
*NOTE: This lamp will be disassembled for shipping. I will provide instructions for you on how to assemble it.*
