Vtg Yachio Japan Sparking Tin Friction Vought F-8 Crusader Navy Fighter Jet Toy

I am pleased to offer this Vintage Sparking Tin Friction Vought F-8 Crusader Fighter Jet Toy! This Jet is constructed of brightly lithographed tin, and features Navy decals along with “448” on the tail wing.  The jet also features a retractable needle nose, and a friction motor attached to the wheels.  There are red windows near the rear engine to see the parks when the jet is pushed.  The wings can be removed via small lever to access the flint.  The toy is marked by Yachio Co. of Japan.

This vintage Jet toy is in good condition, showing some moderate scratching and some light spots of oxidation from age.  There is more notable oxidation on the needle nose, and on the wing.  The friction motor is functioning, but does not move the plane on its own.  The toy needs new flint to spark.
