Vtg Masudaya Modern Toys Japan Battery Powered Tin Forklift w/ Driver Bump-n-Go

I am pleased to offer this Vintage Masudaya Modern Toys Battery Powered Tin Forklift with Driver Toy!  This amazing vintage toy has a brightly lithographed tin body with jointed tin driver, and is powered by 2 “D” batteries (not included).  The lever on the driver’s right side acts as the on/off switch.  When powered on, the forklift will quickly drive forwards until it bumps something, then it will change it’s direction and move backwards until it bumps something else.  Each change in direction is accompanied by the driver moving the steering levers.  The lift is not battery operated, but it can be manually lifted/lowered and opened/closed. 

The Modern Toys Trademark can be seen on the back of the seat, along with patent numbers.

This vintage forklift toy is in very good working condition.l  There is very light overall paint loss to the toy, with some light scratching on the driver and along the edges of the toy.  There is a large scratch on the rear right side.  The toy was tested with batteries, and is functioning as intended without issue.
