I am pleased to offer this Vintage Unique Art G.I. Joe and his Jouncing Jeep Tin Wind-Up Car.
This brightly lithod car reads “Atomic Brakes”, “Watch Joe Go”, “Supersonic Speed”, and “Jet Propelled” along the sides.
Rear is marked: “Licensed by G.I. Joe Corp. 4-11-44. G.I. Joe and his Jouncing Jeep, Unique Art MFG. Co.”
When wound, the car drives sporadically forwards and backwards as Joe pops up and down in his seat! Hilarious!
Tested and the mechanism is working, but does get stuck and requires a push to get going again.
Great example of Post-WWII Unique Art Toys!

This vintage G.I. Joe Jouncing Jeep is in great condition, showing mild scratching throughout. There are a few mild scratches to Joe and on the wheels from movement. Very light oxidation is present on some areas of paint loss. Tabs are unbent.
