I am pleased to offer this Vintage Nomura/Ishizuka Jitter Bug Tin Wind Up Toy from Japan.
What a fun little toy!
This very powerful motor really speeds this bug across the ground, sporadically turning/reversing every which way!!
According to the box, it will stop when it hits an object and turn off in a new direction automatically.
Features a bright lithod tin body with a fixed wind key on the bottom, along with a stop/go switch.
Two “feelers” are connected to the front with springs and continually move with action.
Dual marked the Nomura Toy (T.N) and Ishizuka MFG of Japan. Comes in original, opened box.
Box measures about 5-5/8″ L x 4-1/2″ W x 2-3/8″ H
This Jitter Bug is in great condition, showing very light overall wear to the toy itself. Very light scratching is present on the toy from play wear, with most of it concentrated on the baseplate/wheels. One of the spring feelers is also slightly bent. Light wear with stains visible on the original box. Nice overall aged condition!
