Vintage Hopping Squirrel Wind-Up Toy Japan

I am offering a Vintage Hopping Squirrel Wind-Up Toy Made In Japan.

Squirrel has fur covering entire body- even it’s little feet – and a tail plume covered in rabbit fur.  The body fur is remarkably intact for a toy this age although the tail has a couple bare spots.  The tin front paws have oxidized slightly and caused a few brown spots to show through the fur- looks like he hopped through some mud.  I have tested the mechanical wind-up and found it to be in good working order, key included.  When the squirrel is wound he hops all over the place.

Squirrel’s belly has a MADE IN JAPAN tag.

Measures 5″ long and 2.5″ tall.
