I am pleased to offer this Antique Girard Toys Air Mail Wind-Up Tin Toy Biplane Aircraft that features a driver with fixed wind-up key mechanism.
Wings decals are marked “Air Mail Girard Toys Making Childhood’s Hour Happier.”
Tested and functions for wheels to roll across flat surfaces while propeller rotates.
Note: Girard Toys was founded by C.G. Wood in 1906 in Pennsylvania. With his son Frank, the name changed to Wood’s Mechanical Toys. By 1931, Louis Marx took over the firm during the Great Depression.
