Vintage Cragstan Electronic Periscope Firing Range w/ Box For Parts or Restore

Vintage Nautilus Electronic Periscope Firing Range circa 1950’s by Cragstan Japan in original box.  Battery powered featuring simulated firing range with individual button controls to start the filmed targets in motion and fire.  Line up the target in the sight, fire the torpedo, and score a hit.

Made of metal with realistic litho multi-colored instrument panel.  Has adjustable eye piece and and movable hand grips.  Bottom features battery case that uses 2 “D” batteries, which are not included.  Bottom also has area to attach to tripod, which is also not included.  Top has attached plate that reads “CRAGSTAN NAUTILUS ELECTRONIC PERISCOPE FIRING RANGE”.  Measures aprx. 8 3/4″ X 6″.

Box marked “It’s Cragstan For Toys”, “Japan” and “40220”.  Box measures 9 1/2″ X 6″.

Item does not seem to be working properly.  Both plastic yellow button covers are missing, but pins are still in place.  Missing one rubber end-cap of one handle.  Bottom of toy is dented in a few areas and has a few scratches-appears to have been opened- as if someone had attempted to repair it.  No major damage to top and sides of item, with the exception of a few scratches on top name plate.  Handles move up and down easily.  Box is faded and creased with a large tear up one of the short sides.  Box staples show some discoloration.
