Vintage Camp Phillips, Kansas Army Base Pillow Cover

$23.00

I am pleased to offer this vintage pillow case made by a soldier in Camp Phillips, Kansas.  Camp Phillips was an army training facility used from 1942-1945.  This pillow case was made for a soldiers mother, and it reads:  “To Mother. Fond recollection of days gone by when you sang to me. Your lullabys, your love, devotion, and sweet caress are treasured memories of your tenderness. Soon, I pray, we’ll win this fray, Then home mother, God bless that day!”  How touching!

Case in in great condition, showing slight fading, and some light staining on the back.  Pillow area measures 16″ H x 13-1/2″ W.

Great addition for any collection!
