1950s Modern Toys Japan Wind Up Jolly Penguin Toy w/ Box
I am pleased to offer this Vintage c. 1950s Masudaya Modern Toys Japan Plush Tin Jolly Penguin Wind Up Toy! This adorable penguin is pretty hilarious, and will almost guarantee a smile on your face! The penguin is constructed of tin with a plush fabric covering. The toy has a wind near his left-side bottom (key included), and when wound up he will quickly waddle forwards, flap his arms up & down, turn his head side-to-side, and open/close his beak. They toy comes with its original box marked by Modern Toys.
This vintage Jolly Penguin toy is in good working condition. The fabric shows some moderate discoloration from age, and the tin feat show scratching from previous use. The fabric underneath his beak is loose, and needs to be reattached. The wind up is in strong working condition, and the toy functions as intended. The original box shows some discoloration, mild edge wear, and two holes from storage.
