Vintage Baby Mine Celluloid Tin Crawling Wind Up Toy Baby Partial Box Japan

I am pleased to offer a vintage wind up baby with the original box.  This toy measures 4 1/2″ in length and features celluloid arms, legs, and head with the original cotton clothing.  Tin torso/wind up clockwork mechanism with fixed key underneath.  Wind key and baby arms and legs move to crawl along.  Baby has hand painted facial features.  There is a tag attached to one leg that reads “J F E C T M A Inspection Passed”, and another tag attached to the clothing marked “Made In Japan”.  Box is marked “Baby Mine – It Crawls” and “T.Y.D.Y. Mide In Japan”.

This toy is in good condition showing no cracks to celluloid.  There are a few small dents in the head.  Clothing nice with no holes and just a light stain on the underside.  Wind up mechanism intact but slow to work and not strong enough to move toy very far.  Box shows loss of one side with some creases and tears but remaining sides have nice graphics for display.  Rare toy displays well and would make a fine addition to any colleciton.
