Vintage 1969 University of Florida Gator Bowl Player Blanket Mark Ely 8×5

I am pleased to offer this Vintage 1969 Florida Gator Bowl Player Blanket.

This large, thin Gator colors blanket was probably made for a girlfriend or by an admirer for the cold December game.

The center has a large F patch stitched onto the fabric that reads: “Gator Bowl 69” across the top.    The bottom right corner has the name “Mark Ely” stitched in cursive text (Mark Ely was a DB/PR player for the Gators from 1967-69)

The 1969 Gator Bowl was an epic match between the Tennessee Volunteers and the Florida Gators, with the Gators taking home the win by just one point at the final (14-13).

Blanket measures approx. 8’11” L x 5′ W
