I am pleased to offer this vintage 1950’s Unique Art Howdy Doody Band by Bob Smith tin windup toy.
Very fun piece that reminds us of the iconic TV star that children world wide loved for decades. The brightly lithographed tin makes this a great collection piece, ripe for taking that empty spot on your shelf.
Hits home with many collectors as it knocks out the Old television, Character, and Tin Toy aspects all in one!
The back lithograph shows a gallery of a few Unique Art toys. An image of Clarabell the clown is on the left side. All parts appear as original. Bob Smith rocks side to side while Howdy Doody dances. Marked with the Unique Art logo.
Measures 7″ inches wide with key.
This toy is in good condition showing some scratches and paint loss around edges from play wear and age. I have tested the wind up to be in good working order and the stop lever functions as it should. Please see photos for visual quality of the toy.
