Vintage 1950s LineMar Marx R-35 Battery Op. Remote Control Robot Japan Tin Toy

I am pleased to offer this Vintage 1950s LineMar Electric Remote Control Battery-Operated Robot R-35!  This fantastic tin Japanese toy is a classical example of the Robot toy era! This particular R-35 is the Gray color variation and comes with the red lithographed tin battery box controller.  The front of the robot has outstanding lithography of gears and meters, the body has a litho rivet design, and the classic bucket head.

They toy when powered on can walk backwards or forwards while the light bulb eyes blink and the arms swing.  The controller takes 2 “D” batteries (not included).

This vintage R-35 toy robot is in good cosmetic condition, showing some light scratching to the tin body.  The robot is missing the light bulb eyes.  The controller box shows some light scratching and small loss to the paint.  The toy was tested with batteries and did not function (there is a small fray to the power cable near the robot, could be the cause).
