Vintage 1948 Disney Mystery Pluto Lever Tail Tin Marx Toy Working

I am pleased to offer this Antique 1948 Disney Marx Mystery Pluto Tin Toy! This great Disney Pluto toy has a detailed lithod body, and two large red tin wheels.  The thin tin tail functions as a lever, and when pulled down it activates the mechanism to propel Pluto forward (which adds the “mystery” to its name)! The toy looks to be all original, with exception to the ears which may have been replaced.  The toy is marked “©1939 Walt Disney” behind the left wheel, and has the Marx trademark behind the right wheel.

This Antique Pluto toy is in good working condition, showing some moderate scratching to the body, and mild scratching around his head.  The bottom rim shows dirt from storage.  There is very light oxidation visible on the tail, and along the main seam.  The tail and motor mechanism are both in good working condition, and when the tail is pulled down Pluto quickly moves forwards!
