Vintage 1934 S.D.S. German-American A.A. 1st Place Track Medal Flag Ribbon

• Interesting Vintage 1934 Track & Field Medal
• Brass case medal has a high relief racing motif on the front, along with: “S.D.S. German American A.A.”
• Reverse is engraved: “7-4-34 1st Pl.”
• Original ribbon is German Flag Colored, with a brass pinback.
• Measures approx, 3″ from top of ribbon to bottom of medal.
• Great addition to any collection!

This medal came from an interesting period for German-Americans.  Nazi Germany had been in power for over a year and it’s rise was on the move.  Tensions began to develop with Germans in America.
