Very Rare Complete Vintage Sakai Japan Tin Litho Battery Op. Train Set VG w/ Box

I am pleased to offer this very rare Completer Vintage Sakai Japan Tin Battery Operated Train Set!  This vintage train set comes in its original box with the Santa Fe Locomotive (Powered by 2 “C” batteries, not included), Pegasus Tanker Car, Santa Fe Pacemaker Freight Car, and Santa Fe Caboose.  The set also comes with 10 pieces of original track (8 curved 2 straight) that complete a large oval.  The box is marked “No. 70906 4-piece freight car set, Made in Japan”

This vintage Sakai train set is in very good working condition!  The locomotive was tested with batteries, and the motor runs fast in both forwards and reverse.  The headlight is just plastic and is not a bulb.  The tin on the locomotive and cars shows some light scratching and some light dust from storage.  The track shows some mild scratching from age.  The original box shows very light edge wear and light staining from storage.

The locomotive measures approx. 6-1/2″ L x 1-3/8″ W x 2-1/4″ H; Box measures approx. 12″ L x 7-3/4″ W x 2-1/4″ H
