Unique Vintage Wind Up Tin Tricycle Toy With Boy Rider

I am pleased to offer a unique vintage wind up toy featuring a boy riding a tricycle with a ringing bell.  I have seen a lot of wind up tricycles, but never one quite like this.  The boy is not made of celluloid; he is of a soft flexible rubber or plastic.  The tricycle is quite long compared to others at almost 7″ in length.  It is 4 5/8″ to the top of the boys hat.  The toy features colorful litho throughout, including the image of a character on the end of the unique extended back piece.  It is designed with the front fixed in left direction, so the boy is always turning to the left when he is riding.  The wheels have large tin hubs that are wrapped in a thin layer of hard plastic.  There are no makers markings or origin marks that I can find.

This toy is in good working condition.  The original key is missing, but the mechanism is strong and moves the piece along swiftly while the bell chimes.  The boy is free of cracks but does show a few small spots of wear to the finish, as well as a few light stains.  The litho is still bright but has scratches and stains as would be expected.  This fine piece displays well and would make a fine addition to any collection.
