Rare Vintage 1950s Schuco #1005 Carl Tin Windup Motorcycle Toy

I am pleased to offer this Vintage Schuco Tin Windup Carl #1005 Motorcycle Toy! This fantastic toy is constructed of brightly lithographed tin, and features a wind up mechanism. When wound up, the motorcycle will quickly drive forwards, then turn and repeat. The toy is marked by Schuco, as well as “Carl-1005” and “Made in U.S. Zone Germany”.
This vintage Schuco is in good condition, showing moderate scratching to the tin from age. The headlight is missing from the front, and there is some light oxidation visible on the ares of paint loss.
The wind up mechanism is strong, however the toy needs repair. When wound, you can hear the clockwork running strong. However the bottom wheels are not catching and do not move.
