  • Vintage late 1930s Marx Charlie McCarthy Drummer Boy
  • At some point, the drum heads were swapped and the toy now has original heads from the Marx Drummer boy Toy (different lithography)
  • Why?  Who knows.  Perhaps they liked to look, or perhaps the toy was incomplete…Either way, it has an interesting display different than your standard.
  • Bright lithography across the toy, which is all original minus the drum heads
  • Wind up needs attention (noted in condition desc.)
  • Measures approx. 8″ Tall x 8-1/2″ Long

So this is an interesting piece. The tin drum heads are swapped from the Marx Drummer Boy toy. Litho across the board shows moderate scratching and oxidation, but overall remains vibrant and displays pretty well. The wind up is functioning, however one leg is missing a piece of the articulating bar so he does not walk. Good shelf piece.
