I am pleased to offer this Antique Hudson Bay Fur Trade era Copper Drunk Indian Gorget!  This amazing gorget was hand hammered and engraved with the famous and desirable Drunk Indian Image. The oval piece of copper that holds the Indian was riveted to a beaver shape copper plate The has the crown and lion hallmarks on the bottom.

The copper plate is adorned with 3 small strands of copper and green faceted glass trading beads, and a mounting loop on the top.

c. early half of the 19th century.

The piece comes “Floated” in a display box that has a linen style backing, and looks fantastic.  However the display box is optional and the shipping would be reduced if you just want the gorget.

This antique pendant is in good condition for its age, showing some mold scratching and patina to the copper.  The beads show some light scratching and a few small chips on some ends from age.

Overall wonderful display value!
