Antique Rare Early Cast Iron Toy Car Blue Taxicab #353 Hubley c. 1919 5″

I am pleased to offer this Rare Antique Early Cast Iron Blue Taxicab CarToy!  This great small cast iron coach features a single-seam cast and is made of solid cast iron.  The unique aspect of the piece are the drivers/passengers, which are silhouettes cut in the original cast!  The coach sits on its four original cast iron wheels.

They toy is confirmed as very early Hubley, c. 1919 and registered as # 353 (Thanks Ed!)

This antique cast iron taxicab is in good condition for its age, and is all original.  Most of the original blue paint has been lost to time, however there are still spots of rich blue around the doors and throughout the interior. The wheels have lost a fair amount of their original yellow paint, however they still roll well when moved.  There is moderate oxidation across the piece.

Measures approx. 5″ Long x 2-1/4″ W x 2-3/4″ Tall
