Antique Hudson Bay Fur Trade era Turtle Copper Pendant w/ Trade Bead Necklace

$0.00

I am pleased to offer this Antique Hudson Bay Fur Trade era Copper Turtle Pendant!  This amazing pendant was hand hammered and working into a turtle, with a brass finished shell and a center disk marked with the Hudson Bay Co trademark.  Near the bottom feet are a fleur-dis-lis  mark and a howling dog mark.

The pendant is attached to a bead necklace.  The beads are beautiful and appear to either be carved stone or sand cast, I am not entirely sure and I am no expert on beads (cold to the touch, grainy rough finishes)/

Likely from the early half of the 19th century.

This antique pendant is in good condition for its age, showing some mold scratching and patina to the copper.  The beads show some light scratching and a few very small chips on some ends from age.

Overall wonderful display value!

Pendant measures approx. 6-7/8″ Tall x 3-3/4″ W; each side of the beads strand measures approx. 15″ Long
