I am pleased to offer this Antique Hand Crafted Philippine Bolo Sword Itak Tagalog!
This elegant blade has the distinct curvature of those from the Philippines, and has a wonderfully hand carved figural pommel.
The pommel figure appears like a settler, notice the hair style.
The blade is 17-1/2″ L, and shows wear from use and age. There is a large pit to the edge close to the tip.
The sword comes with its original ornately carved wooden sheath, which appears to have used copper nails to join the wood sides.
The piece displays its age wonderfully.

This antique Philippine Sword is in good condition for its age, showing wear from use and age. The blade has darkening and scratching from use and sharpening. There is oxidation visible near the grip. The wood grip shows scratching as well. The sheath shows moderate scratching also.
