I am pleased to offer this Antique Ferdinand Strauss Leaping Lena Wind Up Car Toy! This awesome early Strauss car is constructed of tin that has lithographed sayings from front to back: “Leaping Lena”, “New York to Frisco”, “Point Look Out”, “Danger 10000 Jolts”, “Dizzie Lizzie” and more! There is even a tin driver in the front seat. The car has a fixed wind key on the right side, and when wound up the car will quickly drive forwards as the hood jumps up and down!
This antique Strauss Leaping Lena is in good working condition. There is some light scratching to the tin, mostly on the wheels and edges. There are also some small dents along the edges as well. There is very minimal oxidation on the interior and spots of paint loss. The wind up is strong, and when wound the car works as intended. There are two missing tabs, one on the side near the roof and one near the engine firewall.
