1937 Emerson Tube Radio Ingraham R-167
Offered for your consideration is a vintage Emerson Table Top Tube Radio R-167 that features a walnut wood case, decorative metal band detailing, curved left edge with wrap-around bars, five tubes, and three knobs.
It measures 15″ X 7″ X 9 1/4″ and is marked “Broadcast Kilocycles” and “Police Kilocycles” on the front dial. There are remnants of a sticker on the back that reads “Cabinet by Ingraham Bristol, Conn, USA”. Dates to 1937.
This unit has not been tested due to the condition of the cord. The cabinet shows scratches and wear to the finish throughout. The original knobs are intact – the on/off knob still clicks, but the other knobs do not seem to function. The plastic dial cover is free of cracks. The interior is dusty and dirty and is missing at least one tube. The original speaker is present. The back cover is missing. Great piece for restoration or display.
