Antique c. 1923 Marx Rex-Racer Tin Wind Up Toy Car w/ Driver Working! 8-1/4″ L

I am pleased to offer this Antique c. 1923 Marx Rex-Racer Tin Wind Up Car!  This early example of Marx toys features a lithographed thin-tin body that is dark red w/ black accents, black tin fenders, lithographed tin driver w/ steering wheel, and black wheels.  The black wheels are not original to the toy, however they do work.  There is a fixed wind key on the right rear side, and when wound the car will quickly race forwards.

This antique Marx Rex-Racer is in fair condition for its age, showing moderate scratching and oxidation from age. There is also a fair amount of dust stuck on the piece, and it could use a good cleaning.  As mentioned above, all of the wheels are not original to the car, but they do roll when the car is wound up.
