Antique 9th Plate Hand-Tinted Red Glass Ambrotype Photo Grumpy Girl ID’d Vermont

I am pleased to offer this Antique Hand-Tinted 9th Plate Ambrotype Photograph of a Grumpy Girl!  This ambrotype is on Red Glass, and shows a well dressed girl grimacing.  Her cheeks were hand-tinted.  The ambrotype comes in its original intricate brass mat, protector, and union-style composite case.  The inside of the case is marked “Samantha M. Williams….Williamstown, Vermont.”.

This antique ambrotype is in very good condition for its age, showing some very light dust and two smudges-one near the shoulder, the other near the hat.  There are some very small spots of patina on the brass.  The case shows moderate edge wear from storage/display.
