  • Perfect tasteful bookends for an upper class collection
  • Believed to be from the collection of Bibliomanic Almos Whiting Griswold (1833-1890), or relation perhaps.
  • Griswold was a Harvard Educated Vermont Lawyer whose library consisted of approx. 7000 volumes.  Numerous sales of his books were conducted from 1868-1880 by Bangs and Leavitt.
  • The Armorial Stamp is almost identical to that of A.W. Griswold, with exception to the top decorum.
  • Measure approx. 4-3/8″ H x 4-3/4″ W x 1/4″ thick 
  • Great addition to any collection!

Very Good overall condition. Light scuffing to the leather from age. Leather remains supple and has nice coloration.
