Antique 19th C. Leather Bookends Believed Collection Bibliomaniac Almos Griswold
- Lovely Antique Leather Bookends
- Perfect tasteful bookends for an upper class collection
- Believed to be from the collection of Bibliomanic Almos Whiting Griswold (1833-1890), or relation perhaps.
- Griswold was a Harvard Educated Vermont Lawyer whose library consisted of approx. 7000 volumes. Numerous sales of his books were conducted from 1868-1880 by Bangs and Leavitt.
- The Armorial Stamp is almost identical to that of A.W. Griswold, with exception to the top decorum.
- Measure approx. 4-3/8″ H x 4-3/4″ W x 1/4″ thick
