Antique 1930s Unique Art Rodeo Joe Windup Tin Toy Crazy Car Working w/ Box

I am pleased to offer this Vintage Unique Art Rodeo Joe Mechanical Wind-Up Tin Toy! This toy features a colorful cartoon like tin litho with bucking Rodeo Joe that wears a big hat. Features a fixed wind-up key mechanism and rotating front axle. Marked by Unique Art MFG. Co., Inc. of Newark, N.J., Made in USA. Tested and when the toy is wound tight, the car lives up to its “crazy” name and starts driving sporadically forwards/backwards in circles, popping Joe up and down in his seat.  When the wind up begins to start loosing power, he will occasionally stick when he pops a wheelie (just needs a push to go again)

The toy comes with its original box which has a torn upper lid and a torn bottom tab.  The artwork on each side of the box is in very good condition, and makes for great display.

This antique Rodeo Joe is in very good condition for its age, showing light scratching to the litho/tin from age. There is very light oxidation present on the areas of paint wear, and a moderate spot inside the “engine”.  Tabs on the bottom are bent.

A great vintage toy to use or display at a western bar or establishment!

Measurements: approx. 7″ inches long x 3-1/2″ inches wide x 10″ inches in height with hat extended.
