Antique 1929/30 McDowell MFG Co. No. 55 “Mac” Mystery Gun Lithographed Tin Toy
I am pleased to offer this Antique 1929/1930 No. 55 “Mac” Mystery Gun Tin Toy by the McDowell MFG. Co.!
This fantastic toy has a brightly lithographed WWI-style scene of steamships in a open harbor under a beautiful sunset sky.
Clashing with the beauty of the scene are anti-aircraft soldiers firing their guns on the bottom.
The toy features a spinner in the center that is designed to propel small steel balls along the edge of the toy.
There are four spots where small tin planes would set, and catch those balls to score points. (The original string, balls, and planes are not included)
The toy is marked by the McDowell MFG.Co. of Pittsburgh, PA. The toy was patented in 1929. The spinner moves fluidly.
Measures approx. 13-3/4″ Diameter
