Antique 1911 Tobacco Cincinnati Reds Baseball Cigarette Card Richard Egan


Early Sweet Caporal Cigarettes Tobacco Baseball Card of Cincinnati Red’s Player Richard J. Egan.  Back of card states Egan’s records from 1908 – 1910.  Card reads in part “Richard J. Egan, the Cincinnatis’ fast second baseman, got into the professional game with the Spokane Club in 1905”.

Rendering on front of card in color with player in blue on red background.  Small worn areas on players face and around edges.  Features signature of Richard Egan and “Of The Cincinnati Nationals” printed underneath.  Printing on back of this card in black and is all legible.  Back shows some staining.  Bottom of back marked “Base Ball Series 400 Designs, Sweet Caporal Cigarettes, The Standard For Years, Factory No 42 4th Dist NC”.  Card shows some creasing.  Measures 2 5/8″ X 1 3/8″.
