Antique 1911 Tobacco Boston Rustlers Baseball Cigarette Card GC Ferguson

Early Sweet Caporal Cigarettes Tobacco Baseball Card of Boston Rustlers pitcher G. C. Ferguson.  Back of card states information about Ferguson’s history from 1908 -1910.  Card reads in part “G. C. Ferguson, who has been pitching for the Boston Nationals during the seasons of 1908, 1909, and 1910,went to that team from New York when the celebrated exchange was made involving Tenney and other players”.

Rendering on front of card in color with player in white on aqua background.  Worn areas on players face, uniform, and around edges.  Front features signature of G. C. Ferguson and “Of The Boston Nationals” printed underneath.  Some areas of the red printing on back of this card are illegible and stained.  Bottom of back marked “Base Ball Series 400 Designs, Sweet Caporal Cigarettes, The Standard For Years, Factory No 42 4th Dist NC”.  Card shows some creasing.  Measures 2 5/8″ X 1 3/8″.
