Ambrotype Photograph Antique c. 1857 6th Plate Gaunt Man ID’d A.H. Mitchell

I am pleased to offer this Antique c. 1857 Ambrotype Photograph! 

This great photograph shows a young man with gaunt cheeks, and comes with its original nonpariel Simple Brass mat and brass presever, although no top glass.

Inside of the back of the preserver was tuck a small piece of paper that reads in script: “Dec. 11-1857 37 years old A.H. Mitchell”.

Description

This antique ambrotype is in good condition, showing light dust and very light scratching from age. The brass shows spots of patina and some scratching as well.
