2 Victorian Trade Cards “The Swing” Perfume & Child
I am pleased to offer 2 Antique Victorian Era Trading Cards that include a perfume advertisement marked “Visitz a Grasse–La Parfumerie “Fragonard,” and features a print of the painting called The Swing by Fragonard. The other card features a painting print of a child with rosy cheeks and curly hair; appears previously cut round from original piece; visible pink residue on back from previous use with some pieces missing on front. Both show some wear from use and age overall; slight tear on ad card; visible crease on child piece.
Note: The Swing, or The Happy Accidents of the Swing, is an 18th century oil painting by Jean-Honore Fragonard, and considered as one of the great masterpieces of the rococo era.
Lovely pieces to add to your collection! Measurements: approx. child card 3-3/4″ inches in diameter; ad card x 3-3/4″ inches long x 2-1/2″ inches wide. Thank you for viewing!
