2 G. Sommer Album Prints Luzern Vierwaldstettersee

I am pleased to offer these two beautiful black and white album prints by photographer Giorgio Sommer (1834-1914). These back-to-back prints are mounted on a stiff card album page. The first print has the caption “Luzern – Löwendenkmal,” and features the famous Lion Monument in Lucerne. The perspective is unique, with a man sitting on a bench facing away from Sommer’s camera. This photograph is number 12119 in his catalog. The photograph on the alternate side of the card is a stunning landscape photo with the caption “Vierwaldstettersee Tellscapelle.” This famous Swiss chapel is right on the lake with a dramatic backdrop of mountains. This photograph is number 12511 in Sommer’s catalog.

Both antique album prints are marked “G. Sommer – Napoli.”  Each photo measures 8×10 on a card that measures 11×14.

These prints are both in good condition, showing some light staining and tears to the edge of the album pages. The prints are in beautiful, clear condition with bright details.

This is an excellent addition to your collection!

Thank you for viewing.
