This beautiful case is leather covered and features rounded edges near the hinges and clasps, as well as the two symmetrical parallel lines on the top and bottom.

The case hold two ambrotype photographs, one of a patient looking woman in a plaid dress; the other of a shrewed man with his hands folded.

Both portraits have hand-tinted cheeks, and are held in their original ornate brass mats and protectors.

Case measures approx. 3-1/8″ W x 3-1/2″ H x 3/4″ Thick

The case shows very light wear to the leather covering and some light patina to the brass clasp. The lid has detached from the case-see photos. The photographs show some light dust and minor scratching, as well as some small spots of patina to the brass.
